With a grateful heart, thank you to those who have generously made a commitment to the 2024 Archbishop’s Charities and Development Drive (ABCD).  As of April, 326 of our parish and school families have responded with 80% of pledges toward our goal.  Through your generosity, the ABCD can bring hope by serving others in their time of need, help our children continue on their journey of learning and prepare them for the future, and raise a unified voice for peace and dignity of all human life.  Together, we are One in Faith, One in Hope and One in Charity.

If you have not yet made your gift to the ABCD, we need your help and cooperation to reach our parish goal of $156,447.  Please make your pledge and return it directly to the Archdiocese of Miami.  You can also make your pledge online at www.isupportabcd.org, designating St. Kevin as your parish.  We are confident that, with God’s help and yours, we will unite as a Catholic community to spread the love of Christ beyond our parish doors.  Thank you, and God bless you.

Con un corazón agradecido, gracias a aquellos que generosamente se comprometieron con la Campaña de Caridades y Desarrollo del Arzobispo (ABCD) de 2024. A partir de April, 326 de nuestras familias de la parroquia y el colegio han respondido con 80% de promesas para alcanzar nuestra meta parroquial.  A través de su generosidad, la campaña ABCD puede traer esperanza sirviendo a los demás en su tiempo de necesidad, ayudar a nuestros niños a continuar su camino de aprendizaje y prepararlos para el futuro y preparar una voz unificada para la paz y la dignidad de toda la vida humana. Juntos, somos Uno en la Fe, Uno en la Esperanza, y Uno en la Caridad.

ABCD - Bringing Hope to Others

Hope is not always easy especially in a broken world, yet our faith calls us to be agents of hope to unite, heal and transform our world. In the most challenging times, when it is easy to lose heart, there is always an invitation to witness hope knowing that God never gives up on us.

In this Jubilee Year, we are all invited to serve as pilgrims of hope and develop a deeper connection with our faith, anchored in hope and lived out in charity. Hope, like faith, is not an attitude or opinion, but is a special gift from the Holy Spirit that is vital in our lives. It is what gives us confidence for the future, even when things may seem bleak.  For us Catholics, Jesus is our hope. (Romans 5: 5)

Through our contributions to the ABCD, we support important initiatives that serve our Catholic family beyond our parish community.  We do this in so many ways — through our Catholic Charities, through our religious education programs, our Catholic schools.  We do this through our support of our seminarians and priests.  We do this in our marriage preparation programs; our lay ministries that form people to minister to the bereaved, the homebound, the imprisoned.  ABCD unites us, as one faith community, in our commitment to serve and support our the needs of our brothers and sisters in need and allows the Archdiocese of Miami to share God’s love with others.

We need everyone’s help and support to reach our parish goal of $156,447.  Every contribution makes a difference in the lives of those in need.  Your support of the ABCD enables us to provide essential programs and support to individuals and families above and beyond what happens in our parish.  Together, let us continue to give generously, knowing that our efforts can bring hope to others and help them experience the transformative love of Christ.

ABCD - Llevando esperanza a los demás

La esperanza no siempre es fácil, especialmente en un mundo quebrantado, pero nuestra fe nos llama a ser instrumentos de esperanza para unir, sanar y transformer nuestro mundo. En los momentos más difíciles, cuando es fácil desanimarse, siempre hay una invitación a dar testimonio de esperanza sabiendo que Dios nunca nos abandona.

En este Año Jubilar, seamos testigos de esperanza, viviendo más profundamente nuestra fe con amor y caridad. La esperanza, como la fe, no es una actitud o una opinión, sino un don especial del Espíritu Santo que es vital en nuestras vidas. Es lo que nos da confianza en el futuro, incluso cuando las cosas pueden parecer sombrías. Para nosotros los católicos, Jesús es nuestra esperanza. (Romanos 5: 5)

A través de nuestras contribuciones a ABCD, apoyamos iniciativas importantes que sirven a nuestra familia Católica más allá de nuestra comunidad parroquial.  Lo hacemos de muchas maneras: a través de nuestras Caridades Católicas, a través de nuestros programas de educación religiosa, nuestras escuelas católicas.  Hacemos esto a través de nuestro apoyo a nuestros seminaristas y sacerdotes.  Hacemos esto en nuestros programas de preparación matrimonial; nuestros ministerios laicos que forman personas para ministrar a los afligidos, a los confinados en casa, a los encarcelados.  ABCD nos une, como una comunidad de fe, en nuestro compromiso de servir y apoyar a nuestros hermanos y hermanas necesitados y permite a la Arquidiócesis de Miami compartir el amor de Dios con otros.

Necesitamos la ayuda de todos ustedes para alcanzar nuestro meta parroquial de $156,447.  Cada contribución hace una diferencia en las vidas de los necesitados. How You Make a Difference

The donation you make through your pledge to the ABCD is used to support the works of mercy throughout the year.  Together we are able to educate and evangelize; support struggling parishes and schools; assist in the formation of families and priests. And, through multiple charities, we are able to care for the sick, the elderly, the immigrants, the less fortunate, and the spiritually poor—all of us who need God’s word, the sacraments, and the teachings of the Church.
